The episode starts with Coco and Yasuhashi against Emerald and Mercury. To say it was a curbstomp battle is an underestimation, but it was. Mostly I blame the fact that they chose the slow tank and the long-range fighter against the quick close-range fighter and assassin. That was a poor match-up and the villain duo are clearly experienced mercenaries, so that beating was legendary with amazing music.

Then we get shots of Qrow with Ruby and Yang, and Weiss with Winter. These two family moments essentially give us more insight into how their home lives and their thoughts, ultimately revealing that Weiss wants to move under her own power and likely has trauma due to her encounter with the knight, and that Qrow is looking at a bigger picture.
