It opens with Ironwood looking out in the distance at night until Glynda comes out and, contrary to her previous interactions, gives him a pep talk about trust after complimenting him. We then cut to RWBY, with the others faking sleep until the professor is asleep before they contemplate the meaning of being huntresses. Weiss admits that her father is a corrupt executive and being a huntress is a way to redeem her family name, Blake joined Beacon after realizing that White Fang went off the deep end but she doesn’t know what she’s going to do afterwards and runs from challenges, and Yang just goes with the flow and loves adventure. So Ruby is the only one who really joined simply to be a huntress while the others see it as a job.
Later on Zwei wakes Ruby up to go potty when they run across White Fang members patrolling and Ruby and the dog chase them before falling into a literal pit trap into the enemy territory and getting knocked out and the dog fetches the others. The White Fang members take her to Roman, so she’s screwed, and Oobleck goes on a lecture about the underground village where bad stuff happened and he whips out his weapon and tells them they need to find Ruby.
It’s 5 out of 5 obviously.
